A kitchen designed for a young family in Oslo. The apartment originally had the kitchen in a separate room, leaving the main living space disconnected from the everyday activities of the home.
By relocating the kitchen into the larger living space, the former kitchen could be converted into a bedroom for the couple’s young daughter. The intervention therefore reorganises the apartment around a more connected living space.

Stained birch plywood is used throughout the cabinetry. Clear vertical lines establish a simple rhythm across the fronts, while fluted glass doors introduce variation and transparency to the storage. A stainless steel worktop with an integrated welded sink forms a durable working surface.

The kitchen was designed, built and installed by us.
